Buy Delhi Metro QR Tickets From Official DMRC Ap

The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has introduced DMRC Travel, a dedicated mobile app that enables users to conveniently book QR-based Delhi Metro tickets online. Similar services are already available for Bengaluru and Chennai Metro. This article outlines the steps to book your metro ticket using the app.

  1. Download DMRC Travel App: Download and install the DMRC Travel app on your Android or iOS device to initiate the ticket booking process.
  2. Create an Account: Create a DMRC account to access the ticket booking feature seamlessly.
  3. Select Source and Terminus Stations: In the “Buy Ticket” menu, choose the desired source and terminus stations for your journey.
  4. Review Journey Details: Obtain essential information such as the ticket price, number of tickets, number of stops, and estimated journey time.
  5. Complete the Purchase: Make your purchase using various payment methods available, including UPI, credit/debit cards, and Wallets.
  6. Generate QR Ticket: Upon successful payment, the app will generate a QR ticket for your journey.
  7. Present QR Code at AFC Gate: To begin your hassle-free journey, present the generated QR code at the AFC gate for scanning.

Commenting on the launch, Anuj Dayal, the Principal Executive Director (Corporate Communications) of DMRC, highlighted the technical challenge of upgrading AFC Gates without disrupting passenger services. This mammoth exercise was carried out during limited night hours, ensuring functional gates for passengers during the day. DMRC has already upgraded over 60% of its AFC gates with QR code scanners, with plans to cover the remaining gates within the next 1-2 months.
